The Kona Kids 5K A race to raise money in support of the non-profit organization Kona Kids.
Kona Kids is a non-profit organization on the Big Island of Hawaii which empowers the kids of Kona by teaching ownership of mind, body, and goals. The organization is run by an incredible woman, athlete, and friend – Coach Carrie McCoy.
Carrie is truly a rare soul who has an abundance of compassion and care for others. Her positivity is infectious and an inspiration! I, Steven Nathenson (CEO & Founder of Strive For More), can’t thank her enough for the kindness and support she has shown me over the years.
Sponsoring this race is a way for me to give back to Carrie and support the wonderful kindness her organization does for the children of Kona.
DETAILS
The 2020 Kona Kids 5k will take place from August 15th to August 22nd virtually. Since it’s virtual, you can run anytime and anywhere!
The race is a 5k – 3.1 mile – race. Run, walk, or jog along with your favorite furry friend. The choice is yours!
Each participant will receive a free Kona Kids 5k tech shirt before race day for you to run in. We love seeing you and your crew sporting the shirts and learning about your race journeys! Please post pictures in your shirts to social media using the hashtag #konakids5k.
The cost of this race is $25 per participant and ALL proceeds go to Kona Kids for purchasing school supplies and meals for the children Kona Kids cares for.
Registration opens at 12:01 AM on June 15, 2020 and closes at 11:59pm on July 17, 2020.
