There are two key terms to know regarding our coaching:

  1. Coachee – An individual who receives coaching; and

Our coaching follows a very specific process, as shown below, to clearly define how our time together will work, maximize the effectiveness of our coaching, and ensure we measure our success along the way, as well as, at the conclusion of our engagement together. During our process, we will assess your needs and goals using our coaching engagement intake form, which you will receive a copy of for your records.  We will do this for your organization as a whole to define the needs and goals of the overall engagement and with each coachee and team we coach to define the needs and goals of their individual engagements.  These will become the metrics we use to measure the impact and ROI of our coaching over the course of and at the end of the engagement.  At the conclusion of the engagement, we will also assess the engagement as a whole and the coach(es) who provided coaching to the coachees using our coaching engagement evaluation form.

Our coaching engagements typically last between 12 to 24 months (depending on your needs) because we, as human beings, don’t change over night.  It takes time to develop new skills, but also, to overcome any pre-existing habits which are rooted within us and must be overcome to create the change and development we seek.  Just another reason why we firmly root our coaching in our signature cognitive behavioral approach to truly create the success you seek, as well as, help our coachees embrace the time it takes to change as human beings.

Each coachee will receive bi-weekly or weekly coaching sessions lasting 45-60 minutes in length for the duration of their engagement.  In addition, each coachee will receive coaching with their entire team for 60 minutes once a month if our engagement is for a team.  All of our coaching is delivered 100% virtually or telephonically.  We use Zoom to deliver our coaching virtually and provide all materials required and requsted during the coaching engagement for coachees electronically.

Important Considerations

There are several important considerations we put into place during our coaching engagements:

  1. Confidentiality – We take the confidentiality of our coaching very seriously.  With the exception of contextual information needed to define the terms of and measure the impact and ROI of an engagement, all information shared by a coachee with a coach remains between them.  The only two exceptions to this is if a coachee gives us a reasonable belief they are a significant harm to themselves or another.
  2. Conflict of Interest – We recognize that coaching a leader and their direct report or coaching individuals who are at odds with each presents a conflict of interest for the coach.  Because of this, we take measures to avoid conflicts of interest by providing different coaches to coachees who could create such a conflict.
  3. Virtual coaching versus In-person coaching – We deliver all of our coaching virtually or telephonically; however, we are open to the discussion of in-person coaching on a case by case basis.  What we consider for in-person sessions are the location of the coachee, if it is a single coachee or an entire team, the length of the coaching session, the frequency of the requested in-person sessions, and our availability.

Consulting Logistics

The amount of consulting we provide is dependent upon the strategy you wish to develop and will either be billed on an hourly basis or as a monthly retainer, in addition to the coaching we provide.  During the initial stages of forming our engagement, together we will assess your specific needs and goals (as noted below in the coaching logistics section) to determine the level of consulting needed to address and meet them, respectively.  We will also discuss any access, points of contact, and logistics needed for us to provide our consulting to you.
